Uncommon Broadband is built around a simple idea: a local network can be better when it serves a deliberately limited number of addresses and every connection is treated as an engineering decision.
Qualification is a promise, not a hurdle
We check line of sight, signal quality, mounting, cable path, and network capacity before inviting a reservation. Some addresses will not qualify. We would rather say no than complete an installation we do not believe will perform well.
Customer-defined Service Profiles
Most providers turn internet into a grid of fixed packages and promotional prices. Uncommon lets a household choose a download and upload profile that fits its actual use, with the monthly price shown before reservation. Service is prepaid, with no contract and no temporary promo-pricing games.
Private by design
We do not sell browsing data or build advertising profiles from internet use. We collect the account, network, and diagnostic information needed to qualify addresses, operate the network, bill for service, protect the system, and provide support. The full policy explains those boundaries in detail.
Installed carefully
The receiving equipment, mounting point, cable path, and Wi-Fi handoff are part of the connection. Professional Installation & Activation is $199. A clean installation is not decoration; it is part of reliable service.

Honest limits
No broadband network is immune to severe weather, obstructions, power loss, equipment failures, or upstream incidents. We explain the boundary, monitor what we operate, and avoid pretending that every address or home network is identical.

Serving fewer qualified addresses allows more deliberate installations, closer monitoring, and a network designed around real conditions instead of blanket coverage claims.
